Title: Uchumi na Uchawi
Post by: vooke on September 06, 2017, 11:28:33 AM
These car thiefs were 'caught' using witchcraft and severely punished. They not only returned the ride, but they did so naked 'wearing' a live snake. They was made to wash the ride using muddy water and as they did so they drank the muddy water plus detergent...all this while smiling.

Apologies for baring their genitalia, trust me this is no pornfest, nor am I Porn-again.

If witchcraft can be such a deterrence to vice, I'd expect high witchcraft activity regions to really thrive economically but.........it seems witchcraft thrives in the poorer regions. Sielewi

The African mind continues to fascinate.  It provides our best opportunity for peeking straight into the ancient human mind.  Not many places left on earth where people freely engage and revere witchcraft.

Huku ni wapi? And were they caught stealing through witchcraft and then punished through witchcraft or were they caught using witchcraft? Your post is confusing. Who's making them lift their legs like that to expose themselves? The crowd or witchcraft?

Bamburi if I'm not mistaken.

Witchcraft made them return the ride but the owner wanted more; he made them wash the ride with muddy water and detergent, and also made them drink the water....all this while purely naked.

The snake was sent to catch them,it did its job and they came back with it.

Lol! If only we could send those snakes to fetch electoral criminals, no one would deliberately mess with elections again. The idea you would be in pics like these shared widely would be the best deterent, wacha jail terms. :D

I am inclined to disbelieve this but those 'poses' by those boys without any sign of guns or machetes or rungus or stones/rocks around give me pause.  :o But they could also be insane.

There are some deadly drugs doing the rounds and I would not rule those out.  Most likely they are on bath salts or some other drug.

Cops arrested the owner of the vehicle. Said it was a prank. So they drank detergent and bared their all all for a show?

That's why I think some mind altering substance was involved.

I just can't get over their poses in that first picture. If they honestly did that willingly I think they should be promptly delivered to MSA's version of mathare hospital.

this is a marketing ploys by mganga who wants to cash in on the gullible. You can get actors to perform this. Kanyari can do it; the waganga can do it.

:o Which actors are these who would do this? Plus isn't it dangerous to present oneself as a thief in an umati in Kwinya? Thats very dangerous business.....

1. "Plus isn't it dangerous to present oneself as a thief in an umati in Kwinya?": That is where the "snake" comes in. Every time the man with the snake moved closer to the crowd there was a stampede.
2. The Mganga had agents there warning people not to touch the car or the "thieves" lest they too get affected
3. Kibwagizo: He announced that anybody who had touched the car or the men must come for "cleansing"
4. His phone number and other contacts were prominently displayed so no TV camera could miss a single digit

Dang! You almost admire the cunning involved. Kenyans wana mambo. And those boys clearly don't have even a tinge of self-respect. Afadhali a prostitute doing her business in the privacy of a motel.

The reason your "Ministry" has not made as much as Kanyari's is because you lack "creativity".

An American went to Britain and found wrestling. He wanted the bouts in US was told there were many rules about it... it was a sport etc.

He went back called it entertainment in fine print and soon we forgot all about British Wrestling. Wrestling was American. The problem is there is no wrestling in it! Has anybody seen any wrestling in WWF or is WWWQ? It's just drama.

I used to think they actually hit each other with metal chairs and pas out.

Vooke, you just saw some very good drama and real magic - in swahili we call it kiini macho. Did they really drink anything? Does Kanyari heal those lame people? Yes, he does! Those with something he calls "faith". Man if you don't have faith, that tumor won't heal. Its a bargain: You avoid going to die in India and saddle your family with debts and just get healed or die (only if you don't have the faith!)

I tell you what vooke, all that in Mombasa was crap. Those are conmen!

A Ugandan man, 19, who attempted to defraud Bamburi residents by claiming he performed rituals to supernaturally locate two men, who had allegedly stolen a saloon car, was on Thursday, September 7 arraigned before Shanzu Law Court Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache.

The Ugandan national, Yassin Lokorobe, was accused of being in illegal possession of a snake and being in the country illegally.
The court heard that Lokorobe on Wednesday, September 6 claimed to possess a cobra snake, which he allegedly used to bewitch two men, Musa Ongumo and Patrick Omondi in Bamburi, Mombasa.

Ongumo and Omondi had allegedly stolen a saloon car last week Friday in Kiembeni.
On Wednesday morning (September 6), the two stripped naked, sang and danced, with residents speculating that they had been bewitched by the owner of the stolen car.

A Kenyan woman, Elizabeth Sarah Wetaba, who claimed to have lost the saloon car, while appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache on Thursday afternoon, pleaded guilty to giving false information, as it emerged that she wasn’t the owner of the motor vehicle.

Wetaba had, under the fake name Catherine Kandubia, filed a report at the Bamburi Police Station on Wednesday morning, claiming her car had been stolen.

Shanzu Law Court Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache ordered that Wetaba be remanded until September 13.

The suspected witchdoctor, Lokorobe, on the other hand, pleaded not guilty to charges of being in the country illegally.
Lokorobe’s other accomplice, Ronald Nganga, who was with him during the Wednesday morning dramatic incident in Bamburi, was not arraigned.

Nganga and Lokorobe were arrested on Wednesday evening after it emerged that they, alongside Wetaba, choreographed the Bamburi scene so that they could use the buzz created out of the incident to advertise their (Nganga and Lokorobe) witchcraft services.
Musa Ongumo and Patrick Omondi, who stripped naked, sang and danced after they had allegedly been bewitched by Lokorobe on Wednesday, did not take plea, with Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache ordering a mental examination be conducted on the two.
Lokorobe pleaded with Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache to release him on bond so that he could perform rituals to make Ongumo and Omondi regain their consciousness. His appeal was rejected after Prosecutor Winnie Kabinga applied that he be denied bond.

The case will be heard on September 13, when Ongumo and Omondi are expected to take plea.

I wanted to start a new thread. However on deeper consideration, I found this most appropriate.

I think HK and Pundit are into Uchumi na Uchawi. Read this first then review their past utterances:
Quote
Investor interest in the mobile-based infrastructure bond M-Akiba rose last weekend as the sale entered the homestretch, but cash raised remained way below the Sh1 billion target.
About Sh236.09 million had been raised by 1:52pm Friday or 23.61 per cent of the target. But registration rose to 302,753 investors ahead of today’s deadline according to the Treasury.
Barring a last-minute surge in interest, the bond appears headed for massive under-subscription amidst electioneering noise.
The door remains open for subscription of up to Sh3.85 billion that currently seems unattainable.
Buys in the seven days through Friday afternoon were Sh47.82 million, or Sh6.83 million daily, compared with Sh20.92 million weekly average or Sh2.99 million daily in the preceding nine weeks to September 1.
Subscription rate to the Sh1 billion offering, which was extended by 52 days after failing to hit the target within the set June 30 to July 21 time frame, has been lower compared to the Sh150 million pilot offering launched on March 23.
The pilot issue was snapped up two days to the April 5 deadline, with daily buys averaging Sh12.5 million and registrations at 8,552 investors a day.
